Perruzza will make City Hall accountable with Mayor’s Hotline

Mayoral candidate Anthony Perruzza announced his Mayor’s Hotline today to ensure Torontonians have a direct line to the mayor’s office and their concerns are addressed.

“Torontonians shouldn’t have to wait a generation before their concerns are resolved,” said Perruzza.  “The Mayor’s Hotline will go straight to my office, where I will make sure we fix what’s broken in this city, from garbage, to traffic, to congestion, and everything else that never gets resolved,” said Perruzza.  “Torontonians will always have a direct line to me.”

As Mayor, Perruzza will:

  • Introduce the Mayor’s Hotline so that the Mayor’s Office is aware of issues and problems that haven’t been resolved by the city
  • Ensure city councillors are informed of every 311 call in their ward, so they are aware of rising issues and can act on behalf of residents
  • Deal with persistent issues at every Council meeting to make City Hall more accountable and efficient

“There is no more time to waste,” said Perruzza.  “As Mayor, I will always be on top of the issues affecting Torontonians, and make sure they’re dealt with right away. People shouldn’t have to move away from their city because their issues were never dealt with. Torontonians deserve better.”
